1. Decide what the contents and structure of your webpage is going to be. * You will usually have a single "Homepage" with links to other pages on the web, this may include some of your pages also. If you want to you can put all of your information on to one page but this might make the loading time of your page too long. * If you have more than one document, you will need to provide links between your homepage and subsidiary pages, and then links back to your homepage.
* Have graphics that are related
to your Web Page. Just make sure that you do not have too many
graphics because this will also make the load time increase.
* It is important to save the top of your page for your most important content. Lay out your page with tables, and set the width in percentage terms instead of a fixed number of pixels. That way, your page will always fit the screen. * Use high contrast for the body of your page: black text on white background, or white text on black background work best. * Avoid long blocks of text. Use tools that facilitate scalability, like bullets, subtitles, and hyperlinks, and lastly make sure that you test your site so that it looks good in different browsers and resolutions. |
